1.

When accidentally littered on land, degrades into organic waste in 6 months. Consumed by micro and macro organisms, and it can be converted into fertiliser for the soil. When littered in the ocean, dissolves and pose no choking risk to wildlife. Safe to be consumed.

2.

Compostable with paper and organic wastes.

Telobag

Plastic Bag

Releases toxic mercury, polychlorinated biphenyls, dioxins and furans. Turns into microplastics, enters the soil and water.

1.

When accidentally littered on land, degrades in 100 years or more. Cannot be consumed by micro and macroorganisms. When littered in the ocean, chokes wildlife and marine life.

2.

Cannot be composted. Turns into mountains of trash.

Oxo-Degradable, Oxo-BioDegradable, they are still plastic!

The difference amongst biodegradable plastic and Telobag:
1st row: Plastic that does not degrade.
2nd row: Oxo-degradable plastic breaks down in contact with the sun into microplastic.
3rd row: Oxo-biodegradable plastic, a hybrid, which claims to be broken down by microbes. However this is misleading as the end product is still microplastic.
4th row: Telobag, a cassava starch based bag which degrades with no residue of plastic , mainly because we do not contain petroleum or plastic.
